Common Branching Strategies

1. Trunk-Based Development

    • Heavy reliance on automated testing.
    • Encourages Continuous Deployment.
  • Best For: Agile teams, startups, high-speed environments.

2. Feature Branching

  • Description: Each new feature or bug fix is developed in its own branch, merged into the main branch only when complete.
  • Branch Types:
    • feature/* → New functionality.
    • bugfix/* → Fixes for identified issues.
  • Best For: Teams that need code reviews and feature isolation.
  • Pros:
    • Easy to review and test features separately.

3. GitFlow

4. GitHub Flow
